Jordan named editor of Dispatch

Annette Jordan has been named editor of The Dispatch in Lexington.

She will also continue her duties as editor of The Courier-Tribune in Asheboro.

A Randolph County native, Jordan is a graduate of Randleman High School and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

She has been editor of The Courier-Tribune since 2014 and has spent most of her career there, except for a stint at The High Point Enterprise where she covered Davidson County as part of her regular beat.

Among her writing honors are NC Press Association awards for columns, editorials, features, magazine writing, news and enterprise pieces. She served as president of the former NC Working Press and garnered that organization’s top honor, Excellence in Writing. Most recently, she won a Best of GateHouse Columnist of the Year award.
