Salisbury Post reduces print schedule amid newspaper tariffs

Due to rising costs resulting from newsprint tariffs, the Salisbury Post, will no longer be printing editions on Saturdays and Mondays. Tariffs have increased operations at the Post by 30 percent, and prices are expected to continue increasing. The paper has decided to stop publishing on these days specifically because Mondays and Saturdays were the least profitable. The new print schedule will begin Aug. 11. 

Greg Anderson, publisher of the Post, is looking at the transition optimistically, saying that the reduction in printing days will allow employees to focus even more on the quality of the paper on the days it will be published. This will also give the Post some time to transition into using digital products.
