We're back! StarNews finalizes move to downtown Wilmington

StarNews Media is back in downtown Wilmington after its 50-year hiatus. The staff was displaced out of its office when Hurricane Florence hit, and now the paper has a multi-year lease in its new downtown location.

StarNews boasts North Carolina’s longest continuously published newspaper and is back where it began more than 150 years ago. At their new office, staff look forward to having a modern space, windows included.

Wilmington community members look forward to having the media outlet closer to the center of town, where it will be closer to local government. The owner of the building, Bobby Harrelson, says the downtown location is the perfect place for StarNews because it is central to the community.
